Passing on a double-yellow line. I just got pulled over while speeding after passing a car over a double yellow line on my bike while responding to an emergency and the cop cut me a brake and let go of the speeding but gave me the passing in a no passing zone instead. Does the DA usually reduce that to a parking or something if I plead not guilty and try to negotiate? How bad is that? I am trying to keep points off because 3 more points and I am fuc*ed

Could probably reduce it to Failure to Obey Traffic Control Device. Don't believe it warrants any points, at least mine didnt.

Sounds good to me. Shit I'd be willing to reduce it to a parking violation even if I had to pay $200. Anything but points!!!

Can you go to traffic school? I don't think it's a no traffic school offense.

It seems like you get a ticket every 5 or 6 months.
