i doubt usa will get involved. probably on russia side. yeah we are allies. but you have to think,. russia or georgia, who is a bigger threat?

Sanctions will be threatened upon CCCP and the US will side with the state who's sovereignty is being violated.

uhh the US WILL get involved if things get too serious, and they are close as it is

and the US will side with georgia, we are allied with them. the US is NOT allied with russia in military cooperation and support.

this was coming, russia has been flexing for months now just itching to show how big and bad they can be. and noone will take russias side here because they went beyond just defending the region they were tasked to defend. they went on the offensive in georgia terrority, attacking major cities and a major seaport where theres an oil pipeline.

it's not about money here

the US and georgia have very close military ties. we have been training them for years and funding them as well. if something happens where georgia is threatened to the point of occupation, then the US will defend. especially since georgia is on the path to become a NATO member and the only reason they as yet arent is that Russia objects and western powers dont want to piss russia off too much at one time
