Per the Governor's Executive Order issued on July 31, 2008 concerning the state budget, Referee and Consumer Assistance Program (CAP) Repair Assistance, and Vehicle Retirement services have been suspended until further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience. Consumers may call the Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center at (800) 952-5210. Also, please check our web site periodically to confirm when both Referee and CAP services will resume.

i printed out the website and put it in my car just in case. my tags are expired now :0

good idea.


i always have a copy of my exhaust mfg. decibel exempt papers with me. i had to use it one time when a patrol officer pulled me over for a "modified exhaust" I said I had paperwork, and he let me go with a "warning" :chuckles:

if its OBD1 or non-OBD, we can get almost any car passed.

if its OBD-II, ur screwed h:
(except if its a CEL issue, thats pretty retarded. we can still get those passed h: )

If they can't test you shouldn't have to pass smog until the refs open back up. i.e. drive around anyway :dunno:

Just keep driving the car. The monitors will eventually set. Cycling the key might also help.
