Totally relevant especially since it's an external drive. I sometimes bring work home with me on an external drive, and share files with my PC friends. Just more compatible route, I suppose.

you said macs detect pcs better than pcs detect macs. to which i do not disagree but it is a HDD not a pc or a mac thus irrelevant.
