what do i do? if i plug it into my pc, it comes to life but if i go to play music, it just freezes

i just took it out of the box last week

 

return it and bitch

 

it was a gift from work and they had our company logo and "thank you" etched on the back :hs:

 

hold down the center button and menu button at the same time till you see an apple appear on the screen

Reformat or stick in the microwave to thaw it.

 

I had to take my wife's iPod nano back a couple days after I bought it. Holding the center and menu buttons only helped me a couple times but there was a bigger underlying problem. It would freeze when it was hooked up to the computer as well as when I was just trying to play it. I ended up exchanging it at Best Buy and haven't had a problem since. You might consider an exchange if you continue to have problems.

 

if your iPod locks up, there's a reset key sequence. Check what Stoner posted.
