janna i don't think you can compare the two jokers side by side
original batman was never intended to be as dark as what the dark night obviously is
also the level of violence and decay portrayed today is so much more than when the first one was made
the joker was NEVER as dark as he was here, always was made out to be more of just that, a joker than a evil criminal mastermind with no regard for anything

The theater I was at showed it on 7 screens, all of which sold out. The movie was fantastic. It was spoiled a bit, however, by the fact that we were surrounded by nothing but obnoxious high schoolers. :hs:
