he is old school and made his first appearance in the 50s when he started out as a good guy, but quickly turned. Most people know him from the Sucide Squad back in the 80s when he was part of a group of super villians that were hired by the government to carry out missions so hard that it was a sucide mission. Kind of like the dirty dozen but with a DC twist.

janna i don't think you can compare the two jokers side by side
original batman was never intended to be as dark as what the dark night obviously is
also the level of violence and decay portrayed today is so much more than when the first one was made
the joker was NEVER as dark as he was here, always was made out to be more of just that, a joker than a evil criminal mastermind with no regard for anything

janna i don't think you can compare the two jokers side by side
original batman was never intended to be as dark as what the dark night obviously is
also the level of violence and decay portrayed today is so much more than when the first one was made

h: Jack Nicholson was more the funny man.. and I'm not saying he did his part bad, at all. Until now he was the reigning champ (Even though Mark Hamil gave the Joker a damn fine voice) I'm sure both actors were given very different direction. But the level of Joker portrayal has just been blown off the map for anyone (if anyone) who may come next in any possible future portrayal. (again.. if any)
Edit.. not to mention HL threw so much more of himself into the character than JN no matter the direction.. in my opinion

This morning was fucking FAN-TASTIC!
Heath captured every SENSE of the Joker in the Movie. I found Nicholson to be more of a comic joker, where as I left that movie going...Heath Ledger is honestly fucking psychotic!
Janna I was saying before last night [spoiler=rest of sentence] that this role was a leading cause to Ledger going over the edge. He honestly became the Joker and not just played him. I want to know how Ledger was on the set when not being filmed. Was he crazy? Calm? What was he?
Again though...RIP to the Tumbler :sad: and WHY does a Lambo have to die in EVERY movie these days? :sad:
Oh...and I want to learn how to make a pencil disappearh:
