IMHO, for the most part, Forester XT > BMW Wagon

Don't want a Forester, gas hogs compared to 5 series. Some people I know have them and only 18-20mpg with them. 5 series gets 20-25 I can live with that. I was at Main Street Motors when a woman came in and was complaining about her gas mileage in the Forester, she got 22 on the expressway and they all thought that was about the best it could do.

i don't think bmw ever brought over to the e36 wagon to the US, so that leaves you with e34 or e39 wagon. e34 wagons are super rare. e39 might be easier to find.

I've been looking for a while now, saw an 1995 M5 wagon with sport package but they want 36K:jawdrop: for it and that's a bit more than I want to pay.

Found a couple of 528iT's so far but they have automatics, I'm trying to hold out for a manual.

I don't want to spend that much and I'm looking for some (a little) economy, which with my rightfoot condition and an M5 wouldn't exist. Like I said it's going to be my DD, canoe hauler, lumber carrier, etc. The 528iT are both under 9K and they are '99s.
