yeh, i don't lick my lips or anything when i feel one, they can spread pretty easily.

i don't keep mine moist, i never have. i feel if they dry up, they go away faster, but that's just how i've done it.

i haven't been getting them as frequently as i used to though.

edit: my mom, aunt and cousin get them too. my cousin got some pill or something that she said practically gets rid of them the day after she first notices it. i'll try to find out what it is.

I am the same as you, if you could overdose, I would have crossed that bridge a long time ago.

I have been getting them less frequently also, but I have also cut done on the acidy foods I have been eating too, and hot peppers, definitely don't eat those as much.

I'm guessing she takes Acyclovir or Valtrex.

yeah i read Valtrex will pretty much make them poof... shame its so expensive. I dont think its covered by insurance unless i have the bad herpes, since it would be for "cosmetic" purposes

I use a tissue or a qtip to apply it to make sure there is no cross-contamination.

only use once, throw away right after you are done touching your lips, do not put it back against the medication source, get another qtip
