is this person getting scammed?
Co-worker (divorced, 46) meets a guy on Yahoo's personals. The guy is a 35 year old investor.
Co-worker was telling me about the guy and how he opened several trading / investing accounts for her. He's supplied her with instructions, user names, and passwords on how to use them. She's currently day trading euros and other currencies. She was saying how she took 5K and turned it into 5.5 overnight.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, but something about this just isn't right.

sounds fishy
not the day trading so much but that fact that some guy is supplying her with all her information and gave her the usernames and passwords, which implies he also has access to the accounts.

at this point changing the password wont do any good. the guy had it, she's deposited money. so if he is scamming then he prolly already has bank account numbers and who knows what else she had to provide.
Has she ever met said guy from yahoo?
I would advise her to withdraw everything from the account, change bank account info and anything else she has on file with the day trading company.
Then she can use the gained knowledge to continue trading on a secure account that only she knows about.
