If the router you are using is linksys, you usually just type in an ip adress in your ie adress bar.

its 192.168.0.0

or

192.168.1.1

I think it's the latter, there are options in the settings to set it to forward a port to the IP that you want. Under applications and gaming

Name the app (FTP) tell it what port, Set it to TCP, and insert the internal ip of the pc that you want. Make sure to check the button to make it active, and save your settings.

Put in the Port number in external and internal port, make the last number of the ip address your computer, click enable.

If your computer is assigned by DHCP, it's possible that your ip address will change often.

Edit, nevermind, it does give the option to change it. make the ip the IP of the computer you want to use, if you're not sure. open a command line, and put "ipconfig /all" it will tell you your ip.

ServFTP is an awesome, easy-for-newbs, easy-to-use FTP client. Download it and then get a crack.
