Default Buying an unlocked cell...

I decided I want to buy an "unlocked" cell off eBay. A lot of phones listed say they work with "any GSM carrier". Some are T-Mobile phones but say they will work with AT&T.
My question is....is this true?

Some of the T-Mobile phones are cheaper on eBay, so I'm wondering if I put my AT&T sim card in, will it work or will the sim card read as invalid? :dunno:

Help me out!

You should be fine. I've used unlocked AT&T Phones before w/ t-mobile (IE....the iphone). To be sure though, email the seller and they will be able to confirm i'd bet.

Werd... but if you want you could ask them to put in a different sim and ask them for a pic of the screen.

Just make sure that the unlocked phone you get has 850mhz and 1900mhz bands.

The size of a business card when closed, not bulky at all.

I think those are the frequencies the US networks use.
