i've been reading up at nano-reef.com and theres alot of reference there for small setups

Quite a bit there.

www.reefcentral.com - also has a GREAT nano section, in addition to probably the best beginner section available on the web.

my swordtails are highly interactive, i come near the tank and they start swarming by the glass. i love em, cant wait till the babies get bigger and venture out from safety

lol. My oscar is about 14" long and weighs several pounds. He looks like a drowned pug and actually plays w/ you if you put your hand in/around the tank. Here's a pic f/ about a year ago:

my one that suprises me the most is my clown pleco

when i got him i was warned he would be a nighttime very non interactive cleaner who would agressively defend where he decided to make his hole

fucker is like a dad to the babys, they all swarm around him. i lucked out. he chills in the rock cave i made for him and does a great job cleanin

i wish my pleco did swim around more ... he's getting more outgoing lately, do you feed your pleco's ever? mine usually snaps up some of the daily feeding and then he works around the tank and the rocks

i'm thinkin bout pickin up a couple freshwater shrimp, things look so cool

yeah, i had the large saltwater in the 52 gallon which is what i bought it for originally.....then i had to move & decided it was too much work to go thru all the required work to set it upagain, so i set it up as a freshwater till i moved again

main reason i'm sticking w/ small (even tho it is alot harder to keep stable) is that i'll probably be moving in 16-18 months, so i'll wait till i get more permanatly settled to do a 150+ gallon saltwater reef setup like i want to do
