Man Who Defaced Tupac Statue Explains His Actions
Loved his music, he was very talented and I've yet to hear anything that sounds half as good, as far as rap goes.
Not sure what kind of a person he truly was, I refuse to spend any time worrying about celebritys personal lifes.
Reguardless of this guys reasoning, he commited a crime and deserves to be punished. If this place is a community center, dedicated to doing good things, he had no business to deface the statue.

Tupac was extremely intelligent, I wouldn't call him a messiah. But I think that his music and lifestyle were a reflection of what he knew- or at least what he felt [even if he/we never understood the true meaning]
His lifestyle and music was that of a live-your-life edge of your seat, kind of living. Where any day you wake up it's a good day, and survival/prosperity were key. It was an animalistic view of our civilized culture I think too many people don't bother acknowledging. If that weren't enough he always showcased the internal struggles with juggling civilized life with animalistic behavior- Which is just an extension of dealing with both worlds.

I think that Pac gets a bad rap from people who never actually sat down and listened to his lyrics. He really wasn't a "gangsta rapper" like a lot of his critics think.
