Tupac was extremely intelligent, I wouldn't call him a messiah. But I think that his music and lifestyle were a reflection of what he knew- or at least what he felt [even if he/we never understood the true meaning]

His lifestyle and music was that of a live-your-life edge of your seat, kind of living. Where any day you wake up it's a good day, and survival/prosperity were key. It was an animalistic view of our civilized culture I think too many people don't bother acknowledging. If that weren't enough he always showcased the internal struggles with juggling civilized life with animalistic behavior- Which is just an extension of dealing with both worlds.
Agreed.

I think that Pac gets a bad rap from people who never actually sat down and listened to his lyrics. He really wasn't a "gangsta rapper" like a lot of his critics think.
