I'd much rather have a big screen than two smaller ones

I have a 21" widescreen at work and dual 19s at home and I must say I think I should switch my screens

since you are talking about using a splitter i say just get one big screen

but personally duals > single

even if you have a single giant screen if you run something maximized you still only have one program viewable. with my duals i run InDesign max on my 22" widescreen and all my tool palettes on the other screen

what's the point of having 2 screens if you're just going to use a splitter?

Well hell if that's what you want just get some wearable screens like glasses, ala gaming head gear:

1 big > 2 smaller.

i went from two 20" widescreens to 1 27.5" since i watch movies on mine. it depends if you do multitasking then it would be better to have duals
