not exactly sure what that means, I found it on apples website. I suppose as a phone/MID it's useless without an account. but it may also imply that you need a contract for the said price of 199.

tark has one thats unlocked on a canadian network with full functionality, he bought it in store

i just wonder really how simple it will be to unlock one of these for usage and if you will get fucked like before if it updates and you get bricked

I wonder what kind of upgraded bricking schema they put in the 2.0 firmware and the new iphone.

 

thats the other part i wonder ... that $199 price point has to be AFTER you sign up for a ATT contract and you must get a MIR of some sort. theres no way you can outright buy this phone for half the price of the 1st gen with twice the features
