I'm a hybrid user. Native OSX software is available for Quark, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. I prefer my PC but mainly because that's what I grew up around, and consequently the vocabulary surrounding PCs makes more sense in my head. I'm not a gamer, so I have no input there. But having used both Macs and PCs to design ads, both get the job done. From a work perspective, it's valuable to know both formats. It makes you a more flexible employee, and potential employers can spot that.

i grew up using Macs but now im a pc user. i prefer PCs because theres tons of software, pcs dominate so more compatibility etc and theres good aftermarket support so theres tons of possible configurations. that is all. as for the reliability thing, ive had no real problems. the only ones with problems are usually noobs who think the cd drive is a cup holder.

Ok, here's why I use my dell

1. Win2k hasn't crashed in over 2 months.

2. I have spyware protection.

3. Haven't had a virus EVER.

4. parts are cheap and easy to get.

5. games.

6. better support

7. does everything I want it to.

Now if I could get a powerbook I would only use a PC for games.

IM not a mac or PC fan, I don't care as long as it works, I've used both and they both piss me off when they don't work. Right now I own a PC. Computers are tools as long as they work its fine with me

I'm a computer tech and I needed a laptop. The Dell has been the best one I've ever used as compared to the suckass sonys, compaqs, and HPs. I also didn't want to pay for overpriced crap with no battery life [alienware] so I got the Dell. It was that or the IBM, and one comes with more options [dell]
