Do you convert it to Bio-Diesel or just burn filtered veggie oil? The glycerin in the oil will eventually foul the injectors. It's best to buy a conversion kit and convert to Bio-D, cost is only about .70 gallon. Even then it's best to upsize the injector nozzles due to the viscosity of the Bio-D.

Biodiesel is junk so just go ahead and unlearn the crap you have heard because wvo works just fine with no issues at all. The worst that has happened is once in a great while a person may get some oil that has a Lye based cleaner in it that was used by the place they got it from. This is the only time that the injectors have been directly affected by burning wvo.

Considering the temperature of the oil as it enters the injectors we feel more than safe in saying that viscocity is 99.9% of the time a non-issue.

Ok, go over to tdiclub and tell the guys who have had their engine's ruined due to build up of glycerin inside the cylinders. Converting to Bio-d removes the glycerin. Personally I'd rather be sure, then pay $3-5k for a new engine, hopefully you use enough fuel by then to balance it out.

If I had the yard for it I would buy a large conversion kit and start producing Bio-D and sell it to locals.

Well you go by what you hear and I will go by the proof of the fact that the owner/designer/friend who built the kit has run his race truck on veggie oil for the last 3+ years on it.

What your friends over there are probably doing is starting their vehicles on WVO which is a sure way to fuck something up...our kit is completley different with an auto purge feature as well as running on diesel until the WVO tank has hit viscous temp and can hold pressure.

This is what I do not just some high school science project

Most of them have greasecar kits with warmers. Maybe the nozzles aren't as large on a tdi as a powerstroke, but there have been build up issues. I'm not trying to start a fight only interject to do plenty of research to anyone undertaking this. If they do this to "any" diesel it may blow up in their faces and end up costing lots of money. As well, I wouldn't wish for you to find out the hard way. Have funh:

ahh the Greasecar kit...yeah our kit is night and day different than theirs. I am not trying to talk shit about their product but thats like the comparison of a Mercedes against a Yugo right there.

There are others as well of much higher quality, but that is the originator and one that stands out in my mind. The ppl on tdiclub are knowledgeable and greasers have purges. The really successful ones convert to Bio-d with homemade setups using water heaters and such, some driving over 100k on bio-d no issues.

If I were to do it I'd go Bio-d, homebrewed, seperate heated tank, and larger nozzles. By your standards I'd probably see 600mpg. I'm currently at 51mpg for the last 7k miles, str8 diesel.

There's definitely opportunity here, if you can collect and convert 150gallons/day and sell it at $3gal, profit would be just over $2gal, and cheaper than diesel, I'll take $300day to go pick up veggie oil and put it into an automated machine that converts it to liquid gold 100% Bio-d can be run from start up in the proper climate 70*+ to be safe.

I will be getting mine in within the month
That's pretty nice, can you expect results like that with other cars/trucks? Even with mileage like that I wouldn't want a big truck.

Does he pay for his WVO or does he just go and take it from restaurants?
