Default Swimmers

So I'm moving in about 2 weeks and the new place has two pools for it's residents to use. I am going to try to go swimming at least 4 times per week. Any suggestions on different styles or exercises that I can do besides basic laps?

Just wondering if the more experienced swimmers feel that a particular stroke :chuckles: works better than the other for trimming down.

the more difficult, the better :|

Cadence is what's important IMO.
Just get your pace up, keep in sync and work on endurance.

doing the ou program. I actually gotta reapply soon. I was accepted like 1.5yrs ago, but stupidly decided to hold off and finish the rest of my lower division courses since it was cheaper.

I have one class online right now and hope to get 2-3 for summer.

if I can do that, then I have 3 semesters left to get my degree.

Yes sir! I will pretty much push myself as much as I can from the get go. I will try not to allow myself to do lazy laps.

I'm not saying you oughta go out and try to kill yourself with an impossible pace right from the start. Treat it like a marathon and work your way up to longer sessions, keeping in good form.

In a nutshell, that's the advice given to me from my cycling coach, from a time so far past I don't really want to admit to it. h:

Just start wearing your trunks around the house. I think that's a good start

I understand. I will make sure my form stays true and that I am still not half assing it.

do you know how to do the breast stroke or butteryfly (non-sexual ) those 2 will give you the workout of a lifetime.

if not just the normal freestyle with laps gives a good full body workout. just keep a stopwatch and keep your pace and endurance. also focus on your breathing, soon youll have lungs of steel if you stay on it.

i miss swimming a lot it was such a good workout
