Well the rear isn't an issue at all, I could drag frame with it easily in the rear. the problem is in the front with the twin I beam suspension system. What happens is the wheels go off camber badly, I have a diesel engine so weight has to be considered (heaviest diesel engine in it's class) and I have to retain both driveability and tow capacity.

so all in all there is a lot to consider especially when after looking around the web I have only seen one diesel 1 ton dumped and a bunch of gassers.
