Default GAP Insurance

Is GAP Insurance something that you should get when purchasing a new car or is this another way the dealer scams you? thanks.

You should get GAP but get it through your credit union (if that is who you are financing through) as mine through the dealer was $450 and through the credit union was $145. So yes. The dealership does rip you on it if you buy through them. You can haggle that shit.

My credit union also had an extended warranty program that was like $1400 less than what the dealer wanted and more flexible.

:werd: working inside of a claim center these past few years I've heard tons of sob stories of people being upside down on their loan and out of pocket money. Its so worth getting.

I'd take a 1-2 year old car any day over a new car.
