Depends on how much you put down and the resale value of your car. I put down $6k on my RSX and with its good resale value, I was never upside down on the loan.

depends on if your insurance company is a dick or not. mine wasn't/isn't.
on a lease I would get GAP insurance for the first year or so but not on a cash or fiance.
