Hey Joey,

I have a T60 as well and just got a copy of Vista Ultimate. Would you recommend installing it. Were there any issues you ran into first hand during the install.

nope. i didnt run into a single issue. installed vista and everything was recognized. i just went to the IBM/Lenovo site to download some of the Thinkpad utilities.

everything runs smoothly on my T60.

on T60s, windows XP required a boot CD (floppy), but thankfully, Vista has all the SCSI drivers for the HDD.

no driver issues here from 4 machines
sp1 seems to have fixed some performance issues
dave smells
i wouldnt put vista on a machine older than 2006

and i still wouldnt put vista on a machine i use for games
