Looking at a new Car...
Everyone's assuming they know what c_rogue is looking for in a car. If he wants the base RSX, so be it. For one thing, it gets better gas mileage than the Type-S, tC, AV6, and CL-S. It also provides more luggage capacity than the other models while being shorter. It's got the versatility that comes from being a hatchback. It is cheaper than all the compared cars except for the tC and the 2003 CL-S. Also, the AV6 and CL-S seem to be really hard to find in a manual transmission. Doesn't that generation of CL have a history of transmission problems as well? This is all also ignoring the fact that he might simply like the way the RSX looks and feels better than the other cars.
I think around $15k sounds reasonable. I guess the key will be being willing to walk away and convince yourself that there will be other RSXs if you can't get the price you want.

I own a honda and I look at it from time to time :hsdunno:
$15k is one of those funny in-between numbers... not sure what I would look for for that much. I'd probably just go a little older/higher milage and shoot for a type-S. I know the TC is a decent car, but can't handle the scion image
h: I'd rather drive a tiburon v6

I like the RSX but I'm with everyone else on the Type-S idea. If you drive it consertively you'll probably only get 1-3 MPG less than the base but you'll still have the extra 50 ponies when you need it. Optional leather FTW as well on the R. But it all depends on what you want. Everyone would probably get something different for 15K. Me, I'd get a higher mileage TSX.
