House hunting Help
So my fiancee and I have been house hunting for a couple months now and this weekend we saw 3 homes we feel in love with.
The one home that I TRULY think would benefit us now and for the future is a semi detached home.
3BR 3Bath's
Living area is 1740 SQ Ft
Lot size is 14,399 SQ FT
Im not a big fan of a semi detached house but this house was built in 1998. Its very modern as opposed to the other ones that were built in 1978 & 1982.
They are all nice.
Only thing with this house is that in the basement ( the basement size spans about the size of the lot. Its a finished basement. Its ridicously huge.
Only thing is I saw a shlt load of dead small beetles in certain areas.
The home owner moved due to being relocated by his employeer.
Which leads me to ask these questions.
1. WTF is up with these bugs. the home is vacant and has been since sept 07
I have the inspection report but at the same time if it passed with flying colors why so many dead bugs.
2. If this home is currently owned by the previous owners employeer would it be difficult to bargain down the price of the home?
Its been on the market for 203 days. No offers etc.. right now the market sucks but people arent buying which might be an advantage on my part.
The other house is like around the corner from my future in-laws. Very nice two floor home but, its around the corner from my future in-laws.
I already got pre-approved for a mortgage so im readY!

your going to have bugs in your house no matter which house you have so get used to it. they will find a way into your place so just get an exterminator if its a major issue. I'd say go with the newer place personally. do you have pics of all 3 places your considering? create a poll and have HAN give their seal of approval on your place.
