that really sucks. ever told him he's a dick when out? sometimes people just don't realize it unless pointed out. I do that at home after work sometimes....takes Jenna telling me to stop being a dick to realize that i was unfortunately.

Well when he fired the first insult at his gf I looked at him and said plain as day, "Come on man don't start this crap right now in front of your daughter on her b-day of all places" but apparently he ignored it.

 

She is noce but not my type at all.

 

Ah, that sucks. Mine is purely work stress...and I have to remind Jenna to let me know when it is being pushed her way...makes me stop instantly.

 

So I re-read your vent...and I'm confused why he was actually mad. Was he mad that you were sitting inbetween them? Or mad that she was sitting next to his grandmother? If it's the latter, why would he even be mad about something like that?

 

He was mad because she wanted to sit with her mother and grandmother.

Like I said I offered to trade him seats before we even sat down and ordered but he declined.

So my guess is he wanted a fight no matter what with his gf, this just so happened to give him the fuel to start it in some manner. Not sure the reasoning but it didn't make sense to me either.

 

sounds like a very strange situation. sorry you and your kids had to witness the whole thing. and yeah, that kind of behavior is pretty dissapointing coming from 'adults'
