posting from the eye doc.
I have worn them for about 10 years now.
Had contacts last year but never really liked them. If my eyes got slightly dry or I was around dust (which I am a lot) they were useless so I went back to glasses.

Nah you get used to it pretty quickly. It's kind of nice because you wake up and shower and everything is still kind of soft and hazy then you pop on the glasses and birds begin to sing and all is well in the world again.

I've been wearing glasses since 3rd grade.
I got contacts in high school and wore them somewhat frequently.
That was until last year when my eye doctor recommended Acuvue Oasys contacts which have some ingredient in them called Hydraclear that for "most" people makes them more comfortable but for a smaller portion (about 15%) cause unbearable pain and redness. It takes a while for the eyes to develop the reaction to them. It took about 4 months of wearing them for me to reach the full extent of the reaction. But now I can't wear them for more than a couple hours at a time without my eyes going totally disgustingly bloodshot red.
I need to switch back to something else. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly my best option is and then will go get something.
