Best way to beat emerald weapon = hasting a cloud with a limit break ready and skip everyones turn and do omnislash over and over again. Easiest way to get lvl 99 is to kill the magic pots in the final crater, you dupe elixirs, then you feed them to the pots, then you 1 shot kill them. They give base 8k exp and 1k ap, so equip it to a 3x item and you'll have yourself or your materia leveled up like crazy.
