We have missiles that can track a guy into a cave yet we had trouble shooting down an object the size of a bus :chuckles:

No they are upset because when they hit their satellite it was a show of their technology and how if it came down to a war they could just destroy satellites and put their enemy in the dark. The US doing this is a show of "we can do it too".

It's simple posturing on both countries parts and kind of stupid if you ask me.

The missle probably only cost a few million to build to blow up a useless satellite. Glad we have money to throw away. :usa:

that would be a valid point if we had never used a missile to destroy a satellite in the past. but we have. and from a aircraft not a ship or land based like the chinese. so thats kind of a moot point. it was already known we could

theres always a bit of show off attitude when these things happen, but that wasnt the primary or deciding factor ... its not something new for the US military, they've done it before
