the inverter is probably fried altogether.... one of the most common problems with dells

this inverter is from a sony, if you remember me asking about the lcd screen stuff before

would it damage anything if I tried to reconnect and plug it back in?

ok so I need the inverter for a 15" Sony laptop. Laptop model is PCG-F680 and inverter model number is 1-475-809-31. Do inverter models really matter? Like could I get any other inverter off of ebay which is for a 15" Sony laptop?
