Snowed in, can't go to work
MA is far, far different from the lake effect belt of NY
I lived through one 36" snowfall and several 20-30" snowfalls when I was in Syracuse. I don't once recall hearing about mass amounts of people taking the day off, and the streets were still packed with cars. Why? The city of Syracuse probably has more snowplows and a bigger snow budget than most states do.

I was running downstairs to get in the shower (i woke up late), and just as I'm getting into the shower, my roommate tells me that school is cancelled. horray for no classes.
I don't really see what the big deal is, there's probably about 2-3 new inches of snow from what I see... 28*. Oh well, i'm not complaining at all.
