To shine some light on the ex.. it was not a mutual break up, trust me, I was freakin crushed. Her reasoning was that she was young, and wanted to have a life with her friends and grow up, and not have to worry about the future. No, she did not get into another relationship immediately after, so she wasn't seeing anyone else. I honestly believe that she did need time to grow up and have a life, because for the 2 years prior to that, I was her life.

So, I'm thinking I might do what was suggested throughout this thread, and still send her the flowers anonymously, but catch up with the grocery gal, and if things start to work out with her, then.. what flowers?

I stopped by the grocery store tonight to get 2 powerball tickets (and to see if she was there.. hey, either way I have a chance at winning ), but she wasn't. Some nice person let me know she's working Saturday evening though

Thanks for the insight, and I'm very surprised at the amount of serious replies o:

So it's been a year since you broke up? Or a year since you started dating?

If the new girl works out, $ spent on flowers was a waste. If the new girl doesn't work out, you can get back with the ex. :dunno:

Good luck with any decision you end up making.

You come off as a good guy so things will take care of themself.

A year since we broke up. Dated two years prior to that.
