Then why can you get pulled over when people call the cops on you for passing them at that speed?

Suspicion. They can't give you a ticket for speeding if they don't witness it.

:dunno:

little easier to prove since you're still in the car ... and getting pulled over doesnt mean you're going to get a ticket. If a cop pulled me over and i was going the speed limit and he said he was writing me a ticket because someone said i was speeding i'd tell him i'd see him in court

Uhh yeah they can because they have witnesses to the fact which gives evidence in court to the case.

In this case nobody but her called in the DUI therefore there are no witnesses to support their suspicions.

But like RB said she isn't too bright and in the vid she continued owning up to her stupidity so she will probably go to court sans lawyer and end up fucking herself over.

true

but, again in a court you should easily be able to decredit a witness like this

does the person have a radar gun in the car?
how do we know their speedometer was working accurately?
is there anyone else who can verify you were going the speed you say you were?

If I am doing 60 and you blow past me at a buck 20 I can without a doubt say you were excessively past the speed limit, much the same as I can say I saw a woman driving her truck with plate #xxxx and swerving lanes.

right you can

but what proof do you have besides you saw me "blow" by you?

cops pull me over a mile down the road and they gun me doing the speed limit then what proof do they have? your word and in the court of law your word on someone speeding really isnt going to hold up, no offense to you

now someone swerving in her truck and the cops pull her over, maybe they suspect dui ... they can test for that and she fails the test ... well then they have proof.

you cant really expect a speeding ticket to uphold in a court of law with nothing more than "the guy blew by me". thats why we have radar guns and dash cameras.

what are they going to put on the ticket? what speed were you over by? you might get a ticket but it would be an easy one to fight.
