Nope...i bought a brand new Dax PSP. Which came with some 3.x firmware. I then performed the mod like i posted and was able to load the new 3.8 m blah blah blah firmware on there.
Oh, we share the name mike, also i havent picked up the trumpet yet. I'm still shopping them with a musician friend of mine.
Cool. I'm not up on how to mod/upgrade the slim version. I have the original PSP.
I thought Jae was your real name. I didn't realize it was Mike. Good luck with the music shopping.

Really...rumor has it I might be getting one of these. :rick:
OT though, so depending on which update you have you can't play certain ROMs?
The newer hacked firmware's should be able to play pretty much anything I think. It's the older fw that can't play PSX and some PSP games. I think I am running 3.03 (dark alex hacked) or something like that. I have been able to play most games.
The most recent versions allow for all the 1.5 hacks to work, they are much simpler too. Just drag and drop ISO's. Most current version is 3.90 m33 (the m33 is the hacking groups name it's Dark_Alex's pseudo group name) 3.90 is the official firmware at the moment but it got hacked/custom firmware'd.
