You can use them on games. No go on accessories, and of course, hardware.

So you're saying keep the PS2 so I can play all my PS2/PS1 games?

I wouldn't mind getting rid of it...(Is the PS3 sixaxis wireless?)

Keep the PS2 for a few reasons ...

1. You'll get nothing for it. GameStop will offer $20 and a punch in the nuts.

2. I'm not sure if the PS3 will play PS1 games.

3. The PS2 is easily moddable. $20 for a flip top and $20 for magic swap discs, you can play DVD-R's.

4. The PS3's PS2 playback is buggy on the 80GB. It's no longer supported by Sony either. It is, what it is.

5. I wouldn't put more stress onto the PS3. You'll be playing PS3 games and BR discs on it ... why even bother with DVD's or PS2 games? You'll use up the system for things another machine does better.

(stock PS3 controller = wireless)

I have a PS2 brick...

otherwise I would just stack the PS3 on the PS2.

Can't wait til my next purchase of an entertainment center.

That's right. You heard it here! In 5 months I will have space for an entertainment center.

Back in the day, there was much hype about a PS2 price drop. (from $299)

It ended up being $20. $279.99 ... yaaaaaay.
