new laptop battery, new dc jack for my motherboard so I don't have to play around with it to work. I want to upgrade to 1gb ram...my laptop is archaic. 1800 Athlon XP, 512mb ram pc2100 266mhz, HP pavilion ze4315us. I just ca't justify a new laptop for web browsing. I do want to build a HD-DVR HTPC in a couple monthsh:

My gf's website sells laptop batteries, laptops for less dot com. Not sure if I can request discounts but I can ask, they are not OEM's though.

got the battery off ebay $39.95 bought 2 with discounted shipping, my wife and I have HP pavilions and they take the same battery

I just fixed my sister-in-laws laptop, her DC adapter broke too some metal thing on the back snapped off. I took a piece of wire bent it right and then soldered it stiff and to the back of the jack and ino the MB. Voila! I'm the hero, again. Now I have to fix my sisters Laptop with the same problem, 3rd time I'm fixing this one. She doesn't listen and keeps letting the AC box thing hang putting weight on the jack. Fuck, I need to start charging.
