Network connection help!>!??!?!?!
go into the router, use ip 250, and open ports said above. save, play
sooo ... i just did some brainstorming with the guy in charge of our store network setups and we came up with a simple solution. build a new seperate network outside the one in the store below my apartment. i just went out to the equipment cage and aquired myself a new switch, some cabling and some mounting hardware and when i go home tonight im going to place my network on a seperate setup from the internal one. going to run the modem into the switch then run seperate lines from there to my apartment and the office.
the IT dept really hates doin stuff that leaves machines on their networks open but with ma friendly connections internally they are more than happy to do what i need to get done. he was willing at first to start opening the ports for me and/or set my xbox ip up in the DMZ before i realized i could just bypass everything
