Default OLPC (One Laptop per Child)

anyone heard about this?

turns out as part of the bonuses at my company this year, they're giving us one of these (and part of the agreement being that for each one purchased for an employee, another is purchased to give away for charity).

kinda neat.

seeing as you're posting on HAN, you don't need a computer.

First, this isn't even my computer, and second, although I have one at home, it's not a laptop :wtc:

edit: but if it looks like that green thing, I'll pass h:

yea been keeping up on this, its really neat how they operate

leapfrog wireless system, off the grid charging capabilities, granted its a pretty low level unit. but for where they are sending these things they are a HUGE advantage into bringing people into the world.

the whole "buy one, one goes to charity" is standard for anyone who buys one i think. if you want to purchase one you have to purchase another one to give to charity :dunno: i think thats how the program worked
