So I waste enough time around the house without another useless item distracting me. So the thought came that I really don't need tv in my life except to watch movies or to play video games on.

So at the end of this month the decision has been made to cut the cable tv completely and spend that money on a DVD shuffler instead.

 

I lived all of last year without cable, and it really didn't bother me. We had a roof set of rabbit ears which got us around 18 channels and we got the main channels to watch Family Guy etc. I played more video games h:

I haven't had cable for about 6 months or so, and I don't mind at all.

I probably watch about an hour of TV a week... usually sunday nights for family guy/simpsons, and the office on thursday when I'm not busy.

I haven't had cable in over 2 years and I'm just fine. I get 5.1 surround sound over the air in HD on all the major channels. I get the poor man's version of Discovery(PBS) and a few random over the air digital channels like Ion or some crap like that. I've got a Netflix and Gamefly subscription and thats all I need to keep me entertained aside from the over the air stuff.

I just go to a sports bar if there is a game that the major networks don't carry.

 

:werd: only thing i really miss at my parent's is hockey.
