Werd..........I feel 4/10 on welfare actually use it to get back on the their. Everyone else abuses it, sit back, kick their feet up and expect to get spoon fed forever.
So do a random test for people that are collecting. If they choose not to take the test, or they fail, cut them off. And it doesn't have to be everyone, just a select few. It will get the message out there that you could lose your check if you are selected and pop.
I agree. I think random testing would be good...however, I can hear the NAACP already...crying foul play for targeting minorities.
Kind of hard to target minorities when they are the majority receiving welfare h:

what would stop someone from sending their cousin or other family member to take the test for them? people on welfare will always find the loophole to exploit the system. there will never be a perfect way to solve the problem unless you shut down the system and force people to go out an get a job themselves. most people will try to get a job while others will become bums because they are lazy. Welfare is such a drain on the economy, especially since illegal mexicans can get on it easily. I'd love to see them blow up the whole system and take away all the programs and have people fend for themselves. Crime would go up initally but people adapt, and it would get better.
I'd make sure I'd have a conseal to carry permit though.h:

I was gonna use it to get back on my feet, and also take a few weeks at the taxpayers expense.. but I found a job therefor not needing it
What they should do is have the people on welfare truly prove they are searching for gainful employment. When someone is employed, instead of just cutting off the welfare all together it should be scaled down to fit need of the family for a set amount of time. This would provide incentive to actually keep a job instead of bailing once one figures out that the welfare check provides the same amount of money with zero work (low income employment). Obviously this would have to be coupled with a time limit set on how long one can receive a welfare check and about a million other details not worth outlining in a post-but it would reduce the number of people receiving full welfare benefits (and wean them off altogether with time) and force the unemployed to seek a change.
