I Am Legend (spoiler warning)
i think they did a good job at nevils personality after being left in NY for 3 years. I do suggest you go see it NightShade. Even though they left out the smoking thing, they made up for it in other places. Also, i like how they filmed it in NY and they said they had to edit out window washers, people looking out from the windows and moving traffic in the background....Great photoshop A++ Finish. I left the movie theatre pleased
Werd, that movie seemed so short for nearly 2hrs....

Vampires suck blood and turn people to vampires.
Zombies eat people.
The Dark Hiders or whatever, eat people...
Edit:
Okay, so when the dog became in contact, he turned into a mutant zombie. But they were trying to eat him, not turn him. Go search the internet. Articles and sites call them either mutants or zombies. Not vampires. HAN fials.

since when can't zombies go out in daylight

The story takes place over a period of time between 1976 and 1978 in Southern California. The novel opens with the monotony and horror of the daily life of the protagonist, Robert Neville. Neville is apparently the only survivor of an apocalypse caused by a pandemic of bacteria, the symptoms of which are very similar to vampirism. Every day he makes repairs to his house, boarding up windows, stringing and hanging garlic, disposing of vampires' corpses on his lawn and going out to gather any additional supplies needed for hunting and killing more vampires.
One of the most influential vampire novels of the 20th century, I Am Legend regularly appears on the "10 Best" lists of numerous critical studies of the horror genre. As Richard Matheson's third novel, it was first marketed as science fiction (for although written in 1954, the story takes place in a future 1976). A terrible plague has decimated the world, and those who were unfortunate enough to survive have been transformed into blood-thirsty creatures of the night. Except, that is, for Robert Neville. He alone appears to be immune to this disease, but the grim irony is that now he is the outsider. He is the legendary monster who must be destroyed because he is different from everyone else. Employing a stark, almost documentary style, Richard Matheson was one of the first writers to convince us that the undead can lurk in a local supermarket freezer as well as a remote Gothic castle. His influence on a generation of bestselling authors--including Stephen King and Dean Koontz--who first read him in their youth is, well, legendary. --Stanley Wiater
Review
"The most clever and riveting vampire novel since Dracula." --Dean Koontz
"I think the author who influence me the most as a writer was Richard Matheson. Books like I Am Legend were an inspiration to me." --Stephen King
"One of the Ten All-Time Best Novels of Vampirism." --Fangoria

I'm going to say lets just agree to disagree since every other article calls it something different.
but ok,
describing it as a mutation is accurate as well, but there is definitely more to it than just that. whatever, good movie. :hsdunno:
