you'd probably be happy with the el-cheapo polk R50's they have at fry's, though you can def do better with more money, from what I've been told they are amazing for the price

I've always been a big fan of polk stuff. I used to have polks in my teg, and my buddy had polk towers...good stuff.

too bad today is last day. the polk bookshelves (rti4) are on sale
so is the HK 247

but fry's has these on sale quite a bit...they are going to be discontinued so they are probably trying to get rid of them

seriously, because the rti's are being discontinued, i think you will be able to find a good price on them...and they're the 2nd from the top in polk's line

they are low level, but at less than half the price of decent monitors and he's going to have 3 other channels and a sub to fill the gaps

that samsung system doesn't go low enough for me. rec studio monitors have a really wide frequency response. I have songs to test this with... the music actually will drop right out of most systems unable to go sub-25Hz adequately
