American Gangster
Saw this movie yesterday.
I really enjoyed it, the only downside I found is that it was getting a little too long.
But overall a pretty good movie, Denzel and Russel are great.
Who else saw it or is planning to see it?

Saw it, thought it was great.
There were a few mexican gangster/cholo wannabes that left the theater and were voicing their opinion about how the movie sucked...but I think they were expecting something retarded like scarface, whereas this one had much more in the way of plot and character development.

I have see it twice now and for some reason I get an unfinished feeling to the movie. Kind of like they didn't go deep enough into any one of the characters to really have you feel some sort of bond to them.
As example in Goodfellas and Heat you learn a lot about one or more of the characters and not only their gangster life but intimate details of their "normal" life. In AG it seems as though right when it begins to touch on more intimate details it pulls back and moves to something else.
I liked it but something is missing.
