Nope

I liked the movie. I just thought Russell Crowe's accent was kinda weird because I could still pick out the Australian.

I saw it last night at my buddy's house. Pretty good movie. I like how you could see RZA's Wu-tang tattoo in one of the shots. :chuckles:

As example in Goodfellas and Heat you learn a lot about one or more of the characters and not only their gangster life but intimate details of their "normal" life. In AG it seems as though right when it begins to touch on more intimate details it pulls back and moves to something else.

I liked it but something is missing.
my sentiments exactly. there were a lot of characters and it didn't really dig into their stories or why and they were involved with the organization.

i found that the lack of time reference during the movie made it difficult to follow him thru his power gain and his fall. I mean there isint a peak moment and the audience doesn't get full "holy shit" effect out of the movie. How much would he import or process per month/week... how much money he made.

At the end i dig that between 1969 and 1976 he made 250Million+ plus but didnt get that effect during the actual story telling.

Plus you never got the idea he had made a lot of money because nowadays 250 mil really isn't that much compared to 1970's dollars. They showed him buying his mother a nice house which gave a very small indication of just how much money he was making but still like you said it didn't give you that "holy shit" factor.
