do cardio after lifting.
bulk up first and then get definition... but since you say youre already getting thick, work on getting definition on your muscles now. eat leaner and cut out the fat and reduce your calorie intake. do more cardio.

does it really matter if you do cardio before you lift or after? I do cardio before and figure that will warm the muscles up a bit.
show them your shirtless picture eddie there are conflicting data on which will work better. I say what works right for you. I like to do cardio first to get the heart rate and metabolism going and then I hit the weights for the added cardio effect. Just don't overdo the cardio though as you will not have enough energy to lift.
i personally do cardio after i lift. when i did cardio as the first thing, i'd be semi-tired to lift heavier weights. i was skinny but out of shape too, so i wanted to lose fat but get bigger too. losing fat will happen as long as i eat properly and do consistent cardio, so i had to address my concern in getting bigger first. plus by lifting first, i had more strength to lift heavier weights.
btw, i dont consider going on the bike machine or elliptical or whatever cardio machines for like 10min at a medium pace, "cardio workout". that at best is a warm up, but not very effective in the goal to lose body fat. i run for 25-30min at a 10min/mile pace with the last 2minutes running as fast possible. cardio is to burn calories. not time.
