from what I gather I would be better off with an A2 because I own a receiver that does not have an hdmi input. Anybody want to trade h:

lots of chest puffing in that thread.

my god, i don't know how any member can stick around there for more than 3 days.

HDMI to TV
Optical to Audio rec'vr.

The end. If you can hear a difference between HDMI 1.0 vs 1.3 decoding on a 7.1 surround system ... more power to ya.

Either way, you're getting an entry level HD-DVD player.

(not at you, but ...)
if anyone in that posted thread wanted quality, they should open up the wallet more. That's just the way it is.

They're all bitching and honking at the audio ... when their HD players still only output at 720p / 1080i ... not 1080p.

darn, that's like, a lot of money.

I'm getting my A3 today. Also, called BB and they're sending 2 free movies (Xformers and Hot Fuzz) for the 7 Movies promotion (excluding 2 in the A3 Box). So that's 4 for me + 5 from the rebate = 9 + 10 more for the 2 HD-A2, that's 19 total. That's pretty good deal if you ask me. Free Players.

1-800-922-4171

Call them up and said that your forgot to include the DVD offers.

If you can't call that number, call BB customer service and start a case with them. It'd take them about 48 hrs to get to you with the confirmation.
