I still think rivera, posada and pettite are coming back. outfield will still be the same Infield same except 3b, pitching wang pettite, hughes chamberlain kennedy, BullPen similar to 07 Manager will be either girardi or Mattingly Girardi played with some of these players so they prolly respect him and mattingly has been torre junior for the past 4 years they will be fine at manager either way (i still wish torre had returned tho)

1. It is about the money. It always is. If someone were to give you a significant pay raise, you'd seek the opportunity.

And i agree about NY hating him he did not live up to expectations in some aspects (postseason) (not the only one to choke tho) and fans did not take to lightly to it because he was looked at as a hired gun who was going to guarantee a championship in NY when we traded away soriano for him

Majorly I think it will look like that he just didnt like the pressures of NY and decided to go else where. Ultimately it all depends on where he signs tho. Werd, it's not like their manager is gonna be some shmuck off the street. Giradi and Mattingly both have the respect of the players and they've even played with some of the guys. Mattingly's been working with the Yankees and I believe he'll be the new manager. If so, I think that would be awesome. I grew up watching him in the early 90's and having is own team with players who respect him is gonna be a plus. He's a little more agressive than Torre was, you'll see alot more hit & runs, steal attempts, bunting, etc.....
