Wow...maybe Craig will consider listening to me from now on. I was rooting for Vera and I thought he was the better fighter but like I said Tim's size WILL be a factor and if Vera loses it will because Time will use his size and win a boring fight.

Also, the Franklin vs. Silva fight was pretty much what I expected. Franklin made it into the second round (barely) so it shows that he made some improvements but ultimately Franklin just isn't going to be able to beat Silva. I think Anderson will eventually lose to a really good wrestler.

Bear in mind that a sportsbook takes into account how he/she thinks their clientele will bet and don't base it solely on who they think will win.

I like Vera a lot but the only way he's going to win is go on the offensive and wear his legs down considerably. Sylvia always puts his weight into a front leg whenever he goes for hooks or haymakers so wearing them down to get him on the ground is key for Vera. My guess is that he's going to finish him off with a submission if he executes his gameplan well. He has to finish him off or it's going to be a decision victory for Sylvia.

Whoever said that Anderson Silva is not well rounded enough to be the MW champion is flat out wrong. He isn't heavy handed as Franklin or Okami but easily has the most quick and accurate strikes in his division not to mention being a beast in the clinch and hitting everybody at unorthodox angles thanks to his long limbs. He also has a BJJ black belt that he earned him Big Nog so he's definitely a nightmare to fight against. The only person I imagine giving him serious problems is Dan Henderson and Paulo Filho. Henderson's has an uncanny knack for neutralizing his opponent's clinch and ground striking skills and Filho is a BJJ powerhouse under Rickson Gracie tutelage.
so how much did you win tonight

I thought Vera would be a lot better than he was. I should have figured Sylvia would win because he doesn't let fights go to the ground and Vera just cant stand up with Tim. I actually think Vera won the fight in a split decision. How Sylvia managed to get a unanimous decision out of it is beyond me. He lost round 1 and was dominated in round 2. Granted Tim won round 3 but still should have lost the fight.
Franklin/Silva went just about how Franklin/Silva 1 went. Rich did look better but he is no match for Anderson's striking abilities. Silva was coming at him with punches, kicks, elbows while delivering knees. Rich was just overwhelmed. As a fighter I give it up to him because he recognizes when he was outmatched and hats off to Anderson for being so classy with the win. I dont see Silva being beaten. He is just a beast
