Once the criminals figure out all they have to do is take a file to the end of the firing pin the supposed effectiveness is gone. However it's still going to cost a shitload more to make them. Each machine will cost between 300k-500k. Then there is the cost of the engineers and programmers to setup a process for each line. Of course there is also the cost of people to run the added process. All for something that can be defeated in thirty seconds with a nail file. The People's Republic of Kalifornia know they can't just ban guns so they are doing everything possible to make them impossible or too expensive to manufacture.
